Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse patient populations across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves developing personalized care plans, assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supporting recovery and independence through evidence-based interventions. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions for diverse populations including pediatrics, , individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and post-acute care patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques to support ongoing recovery at home or in community settings.
  • Stay current with advances in occupational therapy practices, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid occupational therapy license or certification in the relevant state or region.
  • Proven experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (including early intervention), geriatrics, individuals with autism or disabilities, acute care patients, ICU experience, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or school-based programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance, discharge planning, case management, and care plan development.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and speech therapy fundamentals is preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient clinics, EI, or school-based programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 35 per week
