Brief Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Materials Control Manager for CLM, KOAX, and CCC oversees warehousing, order fulfillment for production, Receiving, and Inventory Control. Direct activities to ensure all warehouses are functioning at the highest level of safety and providing high-quality customer service. This position is responsible for cycle counting, physical inventory, obsolescence of material, and ensuring inventory accuracy for the proper functioning of MRP. The Material Manager drives process improvement for material delivery and proper handling and storage. The Materials Manager will evaluate system performance and recommend changes and work closely with I.T. to deliver up-to-date system controls.

- Develop a team atmosphere through performance appraisals, coaching, and discipline.
- Promotes a safe work environment.
- Manage the company's obsolescence process.
- Manage warehouse supervisors/leads processes and procedures.
- Responsible for the security of the personnel and contents of the warehouse
- Developing and implement SOPs to ensure consistent quality and operating efficiency
- Manage maintenance of machinery used in the warehouse.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Work closely with I.T. to deliver up-to-date system controls.
- Development of warehouse teams using continuous improvement and performance goals and objectives.
- Manage daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for the security of the personnel and contents of the warehouses.
- Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of all training for the warehouse teams.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by Supervisor
Position Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years materials or warehouse management in a high-performance manufacturing facility required.
Computer Skills:
Skilled with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP/MRP systems (AS400/PRMS preferred), MS Office suite including high proficiency with Excel.
Certificates & Licenses:
APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent certifications preferred.
Other Requirements:
Experience with Operational Excellence methodologies, including line balancing concepts, level loading and sequencing to achieve optimum efficiency with minimal cost impact. Must have experience as a self-directed, technical leader and problem solver with the ability to handle multiple daily priorities in a fast-paced environment to achieve results. Ability to lead and develop people utilizing excellent communication skills.
