Position Summary
The HR Generalist will be a development role supporting day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices. The HR Generalist partners closely with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment, balancing organizational needs with employee advocacy. The position requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism. Will direct all aspects of the talent management and staff development function of the organization. Will be responsible for new hire training; staff development; leadership assessment; management training design, development, and delivery. Responsibilities will include help plan, conduct, and administer programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge. Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field
Responsibilities
- Support all functions of Human Resources.
- Develop a comprehensive Retail Training to incorporate Jack Henry Core Systems, Silverlake and On-Boarding.
- Reviews existing training programs suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of staff, the organization, or the industry.
- Develop a training calendar with monthly and annual training addressing employee development needs.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Function as the primary leader responsible for all key talent management processes and metrics.
- Lead the creation of the Carver Development track including the design, development, and implementation of training programs.
- Manage the creation of a training strategy to integrate training with the overall organizational strategy.
- Direct successful design and implementation of career development tools, utilization of service providers, and participant feedback for use in organizational improvement.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to the approved training budget.
- Create and manage a database to track employee development.
- Assist managers with establishing employee training and development goals.
- Create a training email bulletin to address frequently asked questions.
- Use reporting analytics to determine training needs for retail staff.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans.
- Manage learning progress by tracking participation, progress and outcomes.
- Measure the impact of learning initiatives on employee performance and engagement.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs.
- Assess organizational training needs and design comprehensive learning strategies for all levels of staff.
Background And Experience
- BS degree, Masters/MBA a plus or required relative work experience
- Related training and facilitation experience preferred
- Prior Retail
