Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry to ensure seamless treatment delivery. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly, and addressing patient questions with professionalism. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.

Qualifications

Radiology license required
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting is preferred. willing to train if there is no experience.Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with dental software enhances workflow efficiency. Certification in X-ray techniques and proficiency with medical coding for dental records are highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently in various specialties . Excellent communication skills to educate patients about procedures and post-care instructions. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records is mandatory. A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment is crucial for success in this role.
