This full-time, entry-level position is for anyone interested in a career in content creation, digital media, and/or event management.
What your day will look like:
- Writing for blogs, websites, newsletters and other marketing materials
- Drafting, editing and scheduling timely, accurate social media content for assigned clients (messaging and graphics)
- Drafting, editing and scheduling emails for assigned projects (newsletters and event invitations)
- Attending meetings with entire staff and team leads about client projects and deliverables
- Brainstorming new ways to increase engagement for digital marketing channels and increase event attendance
What your year will look like:
- Following brand guidelines and maintaining a consistent brand voice across client work
- Leveraging tools and industry best practices to boost awareness and engagement for assigned projects and clients
- Attending, promoting and supporting assigned client events
- Monitoring news in the world of cleantech and startups in Tennessee and surrounding regions
- Supporting podcast and video production projects when appropriate
The ideal candidate may have:
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in digital marketing (writing, social media, email marketing, graphic design, events, etc.)
- Passion for innovative digital marketing strategies and tactics
- Interest in event management, promotion and support
- Interest in clean energy, technology and other industries where Piper operates
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Brandwatch, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Canva, Eventbrite, etc.)
- Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress), event management tools (Eventbrite), video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meets), project management tools (Trello), public relations tools (Coveragebook, Critical Mention)
