Transport Driver

Job Summary

A Transport Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting frozen and refrigerated products between company warehouses and distribution points. Drivers are expected to follow all DOT regulations, complete electronic logs, and communicate effectively with dispatch and other drivers. Our routes are designed to keep drivers home daily, with shifts typically 8-10 hours.

Essential Functions

• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Operate company tractors and trailers safely, following all traffic laws.
• Maintain DOT driver e-log and transport documentation using the Motive Driver App.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Fuel trucks/trailers with diesel/DEF at approved service stations (company cards provided).
• Verify load safety: freezer temperature, cart count, shrink-wrap, straps, bulkheads, and secured equipment.
• Perform drop-and-hook trailer swaps and truck-to-trailer transfers when needed.
• Deliver loads to assigned destinations and communicate ETAs with dispatch and other transport drivers.
• Empty all carts/totes from trailer at end of shift unless directed otherwise.
• Perform basic equipment upkeep (fluid checks, cleanliness, minor maintenance tasks).
• Maintain positive working relationships with warehouse teams and supervisors.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 25 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record required.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred (reefer experience a plus).
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and electronic logbook requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in freezer/cold environments when loading/unloading.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday routes.
• Shifts designed to remain under 12 hours daily.
• Home every day — no overnight travel.
