What you'll do
- Direct daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and promote teamwork
- Oversee food safety protocols to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Create schedule for kitchen staff
- Manage weekly food orders
Basic qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in managing a kitchen or holding a similar position in the food industry.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
- Familiarity with weekly food ordering and vendor relations
- Experience in breakfast and casual dining, or quick service restaurant environments
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial oversight within a kitchen setting
