About the Role
As an Operations & Transformation Strategy Consultant at WestLink, you will be a key driver of operational excellence, organizational scalability, and strategic transformation. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to diagnose complex challenges, design data-backed solutions, and lead initiatives that strengthen WestLink's performance, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
This role is essential to shaping the next evolution of WestLink's operating model and ensuring the company continues to deliver exceptional value to clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Problem Solving & Business Diagnostics
- Conduct in-depth assessments of WestLink's operational workflows, resource allocation, cost drivers, and customer experience performance.
- Structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and build analytical models to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights that help guide corporate planning, growth initiatives, and operational scalability.
2. Operating Model & Process Design
- Translate strategic objectives into future-state operating models, organizational designs, and transformed processes.
- Re-engineer workflows across supply chain, delivery operations, digital platforms, and support functions.
- Identify capability gaps and propose sustainable solutions aligned with WestLink's strategic roadmap.
3. Transformation Planning & Implementation
- Develop comprehensive transformation plans including milestones, KPIs, resource needs, and financial impact estimates.
- Lead and support implementation workstreams, ensuring strong alignment and execution across teams.
- Integrate digital enablers—automation, analytics, AI-driven optimization, ERP and tooling enhancements—to elevate WestLink's operational performance.
4. Operational Excellence & Performance Improvement
- Lead initiatives focused on cost optimization, throughput enhancement, process simplification, and productivity improvements.
- Use Lean, Six Sigma, and process mining techniques to design and validate improvement strategies.
- Build ongoing performance measurement tools and dashboards to ensure sustained operational gains.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Prepare high-quality executive presentations, recommendations, and business cases.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and sessions to align teams around insights and implementation plans.
- Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships across leadership, operations, finance, product, and digital teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Economics, Data/Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–6+ years of experience in strategy consulting, operations strategy, business transformation, or a similar internal role.
- Strong analytical toolkit with proficiency in Excel, process mapping tools, and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting or managing transformation programs or cross-functional change initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology, logistics, service delivery, digital operations, or similar environments.
- Exposure to automation, process mining, ERP modernization, or digital operations tools.
- Certificates: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, Agile/Scrum.
- Prior experience at a top consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, PwC) or an in-house strategy team.
