Join the Team at Van's Aircraft – Where Passion Takes Flight

Van's Aircraft is the world leader in kit aircraft manufacturing, known for our quality, community, and commitment to aviation. We're looking for a passionate, strategic, but hands-on Marketing Manager to lead our marketing and media team in sharing the Van's story across digital, print, video, and events.

In this role, you'll oversee strategy and execution across digital, content, and event marketing while directly managing one Marketing Assistant. As part of a small company, you'll balance leadership with hands-on work, rolling up your sleeves to create campaigns, refine messaging, and ensure our brand is consistently represented. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile marketer who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor one Marketing Specialist, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams (sales, operations, product) to align marketing initiatives with company goals.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate external partners for design, media, and events.

Campaign & Content Management

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across social media, email, website, and events.
  • Own the content calendar, ensuring consistent messaging and timely delivery.
  • Lead copywriting, storytelling, and creative projects to strengthen brand voice.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Oversee website updates, SEO improvements, and digital advertising initiatives.
  • Track KPIs and provide insights to leadership on campaign performance and ROI.

Events & Brand Initiatives

  • Coordinate marketing materials, signage, and logistics for key events such as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh and regional fly-ins.
  • Lead merchandising initiatives, including product refreshes, apparel updates, and branded displays.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are upheld across all channels and materials.

Hands-On Execution

  • Support photo and video projects, including asset management and light editing.
  • Contribute directly to creative design using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Provide administrative oversight for marketing expenses, project tracking, and vendor coordination.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • 4+ years of marketing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to manage campaigns end-to-end in a small team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; comfortable balancing strategy with execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing/design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp (or similar platforms), and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
  • Creative, resourceful, and adaptable — able to wear multiple hats in a small company setting.
  • Interest in aviation is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse and light-manufacturing environment. Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, heat, and cold may occur. The position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Van's Aircraft is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees. Employment decisions are based on job-related reasons regardless of race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, gender identity, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.
