Loctician/Stylist (Microlocs/Sisterlocks/Interlocks a PLUS)

Overview
We are seeking skilled Loctician/Stylist to join our team. You will be responsible for providing professional hair care services specializing in loc maintenance and styling. You must have a passion for hair care and enjoy working with clients to achieve their desired look.

Essential Functions

• Specializes in the creation, maintenance, and styling of a variety of loc techniques.
• Consults with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on scalp health and hair care, skillfully start and maintain locs using various techniques, and ensure each client receives personalized, high-quality service.
• Proven experience as a loctitian and Stylist, strong understanding of hair and scalp health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creative hairstyling.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their hair care needs and preferences.
• Perform loc maintenance, styling, and treatments with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Sanitize work areas and tools to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Upsell products and services to clients based on their needs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Exhibits expertise and the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
• Experience with Microlocs and SisterlocksTM is preferred.
• Cosmetology License is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds (e.g., moving salon supplies or equipment).
• Comfortable working with hands above shoulder height during styling services.
• Visual acuity to perform precise hair care tasks.

Required Education and Experience

• Preferred: Cosmetology license and experience as a loctician.
• Proven expertise in loc creation, maintenance, and styling techniques.
• Strong emphasis on professionalism, punctuality, and excellent client interaction skills.
• Familiarity with salon software and basic inventory management is a plus.
