AmeriLux Family of Companies (AFoC) is hiring We are looking for a dedicated and driven Maintenance Technician with an electrical Focus to provide crucial support to our continuous manufacturing and facility operations.

This role will play a vital part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems that power our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

In this position, you will:

  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Perform planned maintenance, installations, and repairs.
  • Support facility electrical systems and building maintenance projects.
  • Detect and correct issues that impact uptime, efficiency, and safety.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive improvement, minimize downtime, and ensure high product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on all machinery, focusing on electrical reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose, repair, and test malfunctioning equipment using electrical expertise and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, voltmeters).
  • Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage wiring, three-phase circuits, and motor control systems.
  • Identify and correct root causes of recurring electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Support troubleshooting of control systems, contactors, relays, and sensors.

Facility and Building Electrical Systems

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and upgrades to electrical infrastructure throughout multiple facilities (e.g., lighting, outlets, breakers, conduit installation, and wiring).
  • Support electrical needs for new equipment installations, expansions, and building improvement projects.
  • Partner with operations and leadership to ensure electrical systems meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Work alongside outside contractors when necessary for large-scale electrical projects.

System Design and Improvement

  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and team leaders to improve machine performance and implement automation or control system upgrades.
  • Modify and retrofit equipment for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Contribute ideas and technical expertise to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Installation and Commissioning

  • Lead or assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all installations meet electrical code, company standards, and operational requirements.
  • Develop and document optimal setup and operational parameters for equipment.

Training and Documentation

  • Share technical knowledge and provide training to other technicians and production staff on safe electrical practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, wiring diagrams, and system modifications.
  • Track reliability metrics and performance data to support proactive maintenance efforts.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Adhere to all electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
  • Proactively identify and address potential electrical hazards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Shift

  • 12 hours M-TH with overtime opportunities

What We're Looking For

Electrical Expertise:

  • Low voltage wiring – installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of three-phase circuits and motor control systems.
  • Experience with industrial controls (contactors, relays, sensors, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Mechanical Aptitude:

  • Rebuild gears, align fixtures, and support forming and fabrication equipment.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, simple machining, and welding/fabrication.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to interpret machine documentation.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.

Team & Project Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute projects independently or within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56, $100,000.00 per year
