Full-Time | On-Site | Stu's Home Improvement Outlet – Dubuque, IA
Stu's Home Improvement Outlet is one of the fastest-growing home improvement outlets in the tri-state area, adding over 20 new full-time employees since opening. We are expanding rapidly and looking for a motivated, creative professional to help bring the story of Stu's to life, grow our brand, and manage our online presence.
This is a full-time, on-site position focused on content creation, posting inventory online, managing sales platforms, hosting live events, and supporting the owner with daily office tasks.
What You'll Do
Social Media Management & Branding
- Brand the store consistently across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Maintain an active, high-energy online presence for the store.
- Develop, schedule, and post high-engagement content daily.
- Manage multiple sales platforms and keep inventory updated.
Posting New Inventory
- Post all new items online across social platforms immediately as they arrive.
- Create clear, compelling listings with photos, videos, descriptions, and pricing.
- Ensure items are accurately represented and updated for availability.
Content Creation
- Film and photograph new arrivals (appliances, furniture, tools, flooring, home goods).
- Edit videos/photos using CapCut, Canva, InShot, Adobe, or similar tools.
- Produce short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) that highlight deals and brand story.
- Capture mission-driven content showing Stu's impact on veterans, families, and the community.
Live Events & Promotions
- Host live events daily across social media (Facebook Live, TikTok Live, etc.).
- Create promotional events, deal showcases, and special product spotlights.
- Plan, schedule, and execute online marketing events and in-store promotional campaigns.
- Engage customers in real time, answer questions live, and drive traffic to the store.
Customer Engagement
- Respond to customer inquiries on Facebook Messenger and other platforms.
- Provide product details, hours, pricing, and pickup info quickly and accurately.
- Convert social media inquiries into store visits and sales opportunities.
Office & Owner Support
- Assist the owner with general administrative duties.
- Maintain Google Drive files, documents, schedules, and forms.
- Support marketing projects, community initiatives, and company events.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in social media content creation and branding.
- Ability to confidently film, speak, and interact during daily live streams.
- Strong video editing and photo editing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple social media platforms and sales channels.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms) is required.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work directly with ownership.
- Full-time availability, including rotating weekends.
Preferred Skills
- Graphic design (Canva or Adobe).
- Retail, marketing, or e-commerce experience.
- Familiarity with Shopify or Marketplace posting.
