JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY :

The Maintenance team is responsible for installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of variety of lining equipment. This may include electrical controls, circuits, and control panels.

The Maintenance Technician on this team is versatile in day-to-day project support on the production floor, knowledgeable in mechanical and electronic systems as a leader for production counterparts, and resourceful in their willingness to tackle any growth enabling projects that the business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Solve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various production and Lining equipment
• (Dis)assembling/installing new machines, condition monitoring sensors, equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns
• Replaces parts by operating machine tools, welding
• Follows prescribed preventative maintenance schedule in oiling, greasing and calibration of machinery.
• Collaborates with manager to develop tasks and fixtures which would improve facility processes.
• Double checks that safety devices are in working order on all machines and equipment.
• Provide training for new technicians.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Requires a high school diploma

• 3+ years of experience or Technical Associates degree and 2 years experience

• Read and understand shop orders and blueprints, safety rules, standard work instructions, electrical diagrams and schematics, test sheets, completion sheets and quality assurance sheets

• Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic Microsoft office required
• Ability to use hand tools in a safe and proper manner.
• Ability to read and speak English a plus
• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical.
• Strong manufacturing equipment and technical know-how.
• Demonstrates analytical proficiency and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to advance new technologies.
• Understanding of different types of materials used in manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to be hands-on with equipment and machine upgrades.
• Demonstrates superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates ability to think out of the box to recommend alternate solutions.
• Demonstrates ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and designs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD software
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
• It may be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:

• Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and work in limited space.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
