Maintenance Technician

We are a growing multifamily property management company seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations across our apartment communities. This role is essential to keeping our properties safe, clean, and resident-ready.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will handle work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. Ideal candidates are reliable, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently across multiple buildings.

You'll work closely with the Property Manager and Leasing team to help reduce vacancy, improve resident satisfaction, and maintain high standards across the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, etc.)
• Perform unit turns: paint, patch, punch-list repairs, install fixtures, and prepare units for move-ins
• Troubleshoot and repair issues in occupied and vacant units
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Communicate professionally with residents and office staff
• Respond to on-call emergencies (rotation)
• Ensure all work meets local code and company standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing (C-class experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
• Basic HVAC (EPA certification a bonus but not required)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass background check
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
