Hit Parader Live is a new supper-club-style venue located in the heart of Nashville — where rock & roll attitude meets elevated hospitality. Inspired by the iconic Hit Parader Magazine and the legacy of music's golden eras, our venue will host live performances, celebrity after-parties, private events, and unforgettable nights of food, drinks, and music.
Position Overview
Job duties include following recipes to Chef's specifications, maintaining a high kitchen standard of cleanliness. Must have organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and ability to function very well under pressure. We are a high volume space, so excellent teamwork and high efficiency are a must
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of entrees according to established recipes and standards which are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food
- Assist in the preparation of line items
- Properly label, receive, rotate, and store inventory (FIFO)
- Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team and food runners to ensure that orders are completed quickly and efficiently
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist in the the maintenance of prep lists and par levels
- Follow all Tennessee and Metro Nashville food-safety guidelines, including proper temperature control and sanitation practices.
- Continuously seek feedback and ways to improve our dishes, processes, and customer experience
Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years of experience in a high volume kitchen
- A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary industry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excitement to see a new menu grow and evolve
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety and sanitation standards
- Preferred food handlers certification
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift up to 30lbs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
