Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Irvine, CA for a Sales Engineer. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, engaging with customers to understand their needs, and offering suitable power solutions. The role involves assisting with the sales process, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve targets and expand the customer base within assigned territories.
  • Identify and engage potential customers, understand technical requirements, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and application support.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in alignment with company guidelines and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
  • Maintain and track all opportunities and customer interactions through the CRM system.
  • Travel up to 10% for customer visits, trade shows, and training.

Education and Experience

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or applications engineering.
  • Motivated entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude are also encouraged to apply.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of power electronics, DC power supplies, or test and measurement equipment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
