We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences across our restaurant operations. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Train, develop, and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food handling, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet business demands while maintaining high service standards.
- Supervise food production for various service formats including casual dining, quick service, catering, banquets, and bar operations.
- Implement and monitor procedures for cash handling, order accuracy, and timely service delivery to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting efforts, cost control initiatives, and menu development to support business growth.
- Conduct interviews for new team members, participate in hiring decisions, and contribute to staff training & development programs.
- Ensure consistent adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices across all kitchen activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes, food safety regulations (including HACCP), and sanitation standards.
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements in a restaurant setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff on culinary techniques, food handling, and customer service protocols.
- Background in managing diverse food service formats such as casual dining, fine dining, catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
