Software Developer

As a member of the application development team, the developer will develop new applications for integration with our core systems as well as maintain existing systems. The successful candidate will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Billings, MT. Essential Job Functions:

• Work with business stakeholders to understand and implement project requirements.
• Develop custom logic for new applications to support ELI's business.
• Support existing applications through troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline operations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Fluency with Microsoft development tools and MS SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and relational database design, and development.
• Ability to work with end users who have a range of technical skills and knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

• Competency in one or more of the following languages or frameworks: C#, .NET, XML, WebAssembly, WPF, and Entity Framework.
• Working knowledge of design patterns like MVVM/MVC.
• Comfortable with Git workflows.
• Experience working as a team member and a desire to be a team player.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline.
