Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our warehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina. This vital role is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, ensuring that all shipments are received correctly, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity of our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips against actual goods, and note any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects upon arrival.
- Enter receiving data accurately into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Unload freight from trucks, utilizing appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Stage received goods for put-away or immediate distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in using WMS and data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
