We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all items are selected correctly, safely handled, and staged for outgoing transport. This is a critical position within our warehouse operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order slips or electronic pick lists.
- Use of RF scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and update order status.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packaging.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring contents are protected during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and equipment operation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
