We are seeking a hardworking and efficient Material Handler to support our operations in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement and management of materials within our warehouse, ensuring smooth and timely flow of goods. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, retrieving, and staging materials for production or shipment. A strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse safety practices is essential. You will operate various material handling equipment, so prior experience is advantageous. This position requires physical dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work area. You will be a key contributor to our logistics operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all material handling tasks. The role involves regular Lifting and requires adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE. We are committed to fostering a secure workplace for all our associates.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Accurately record and track material movements.
- Stock materials in appropriate inventory locations.
- Retrieve materials for production or shipping orders.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
