We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boise, Idaho. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order contents against shipping manifests, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for handling various shipping documents, tracking shipments, and communicating any shipping discrepancies to the appropriate personnel. This role is vital to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including generating shipping labels and packing slips.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against order details and manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status and any issues.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and meet carrier requirements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning safety and handling of materials.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE is required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as occasional Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
