We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This critical role ensures that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transport. The ideal candidate will be proficient in administrative tasks related to shipping, maintain excellent communication, and possess a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
- Verify order details against shipping information for accuracy.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Assist with inventory management and stockroom organization as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn when handling packages or operating equipment.
- Handle any shipping-related inquiries or issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs) as needed.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
