We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility. This role is crucial for the successful outbound movement of our products and a key position within our logistics department. You will be responsible for ensuring all shipments are processed accurately, documented correctly, and dispatched on time. Duties include preparing shipping labels, verifying package contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are paramount. We maintain a high standard for Safety in our operations and require all employees to follow Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If you are seeking a role where precision and efficiency are valued within the logistics sector, this is an excellent opportunity. Prior experience in shipping or logistics is highly desirable, as is the ability to assist with moderate Lifting as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Process and label outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify order details against packed items before shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with freight carriers.
- Maintain comprehensive shipping logs and tracking information.
- Communicate shipment status to relevant internal departments and customers.
- Inspect packages for any damage prior to dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a Shipping Clerk or similar role within logistics.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) occasionally.
- A strong understanding of Shipping procedures and logistics flow.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all protocols, including PPE usage.
This position requires a dedicated individual who can ensure the smooth and accurate dispatch of all orders, supporting our overall logistics success.
