We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage our operations in Orlando, Florida. The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols. You will ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies. Your responsibilities will include supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, managing inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely shipment of orders. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reporting.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Manage receiving operations, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Train and mentor warehouse team members.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and generate operational reports.
- Coordinate with logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and sustained physical activity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with various warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment requiring prolonged standing and walking.
