We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Dallas, Texas. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport goods to and from various warehouse locations. A strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and adherence to all company policies is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues or needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and inventory changes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and order picking.
- Perform tasks that involve Lifting and maneuvering heavy loads.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
