We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick and prepare items for shipment from our warehouse. This involves navigating the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices, locating specified items, and ensuring the correct quantities are gathered. You will be expected to adhere to strict inventory control procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order slips or electronic pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and checks.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
