Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is seeking a versatile Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team. This crucial role involves managing both the inbound and outbound flow of materials. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing orders, and coordinating with carriers. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are committed to Safety and efficiency. This position requires a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be trained on all relevant procedures, including the correct use of PPE, and expected to uphold our stringent Safety standards. This role may involve considerable Lifting and requires physical stamina. Become a vital link in our supply chain and contribute to our operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
- Stock received goods appropriately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including labels and manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing the required PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely, which may involve Lifting heavy items.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and warehouse management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including significant Lifting.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
