Our busy distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management. This critical role is central to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring that our inventory data is precise and our stock levels are optimized. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing best practices for stock control. A strong analytical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to **Safety** are essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience in inventory control. This position involves regular **Lifting** of inventory and requires the ability to work independently and methodically. We expect all team members to adhere to strict **PPE** guidelines and safety protocols. Your work will directly impact order fulfillment accuracy and minimize inventory loss. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and recommend actions.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Oversee stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure the **Safety** and organization of all inventory storage areas.
- Adhere to all **PPE** requirements and **Safety** guidelines.
- Assist with **Lifting** and organizing inventory as needed for counts and audits.
- Support efficient **Logistics** operations through precise inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting**.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** procedures and **PPE**.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and supply chain principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
