We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our fast-paced warehouse facility in San Jose, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory to fulfill customer orders and then meticulously packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail ensures that our customers receive precisely what they ordered, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and our company's reputation in the logistics industry. You will work with an order management system, scanning items and preparing them for the next stage of the distribution process. A strong focus on safety is required; all employees must adhere to company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including standing for extended periods, bending, and the ability to perform lifting of items up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Perform lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory or orders.
- Contribute to team goals for productivity and accuracy.
- Support the overall logistics process through diligent work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capable of performing lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
