Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock outs and overstock situations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the efficient flow of goods. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to uphold the highest standards of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing inventory data in our WMS (Warehouse Management System), analyzing inventory trends, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to process optimization. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to data integrity are essential. We expect our Inventory Control Specialist to be adept at problem-solving and possess excellent communication skills. Safety is paramount in our operations; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform lifting of items up to 30 lbs and operate necessary equipment in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient stock rotation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Perform lifting of materials as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
