We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role is key to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to minimize stock loss. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems and best practices within logistics. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure that our inventory data is precise and reliable, supporting efficient operations and customer satisfaction. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our supply chain by ensuring product availability and reducing operational costs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accuracy.
- Generate inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of materials, including adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Assist in the training of warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related role within logistics.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of moderate weight.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
