Join our bustling warehouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a Forklift Operator. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload materials, transport goods between different areas of the warehouse, and assist in maintaining organized storage. Safety is our top priority, and all operators are expected to strictly follow all company safety procedures and guidelines. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. This role requires physical coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and maneuvering of materials. A solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow is essential. We are looking for experienced and certified forklift operators who are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and locations.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse for optimal efficiency and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate PPE , including safety shoes, vests, and hard hats as required.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Participate in general warehouse duties and team activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting and prolonged standing/sitting.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
