We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies. Working within our Logistics framework, your contribution to operational efficiency and Safety is highly valued. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover and aging.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper tracking of goods.
- Assist in the development and execution of inventory management strategies within our Logistics operations.
- Ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment, paying close attention to Safety.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend disposition actions.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting of inventory items, up to 30 lbs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of Logistics principles and inventory best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
