We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our distribution network, involving a variety of tasks from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and shipping. You will be part of a team committed to operational excellence and maintaining high standards of Safety and efficiency within our Logistics hub. The ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting, is required.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation and processes within our Logistics operations.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues to supervisors.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving consistent Lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to team efforts and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure all shipments are accurately labeled and staged for carriers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Willingness to adhere to all PPE requirements.
