We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the timely movement of goods. You will be working in a fast-paced logistics environment, so attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange products in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices in warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Properly identify and tag all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of inventory.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of Logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
