We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our bustling warehouse in Houston, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels, conducting regular audits, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. - Conducting thorough cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating root causes of inventory variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Updating and maintaining inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Coordinating with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure data integrity.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational abilities. Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel is essential. This position demands accuracy and diligence in all tasks, including regular lifting of items up to 40 pounds and working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to follow strict safety guidelines. Your contributions will be vital to our ongoing success in the supply chain and distribution sector.
