Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our St. Louis, Missouri team. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is crucial for efficient logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing process improvements to minimize errors. Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach are essential. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and all team members are expected to follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves some lifting of inventory items, typically up to 30 lbs. If you have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of inventory management, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records within a dynamic logistics environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Process inventory adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify low-stock items.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Perform lifting of inventory items as required, typically up to 30 lbs.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and precision in all logistics processes.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within logistics.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
