Are you an experienced Order Picker looking for a challenging role in San Francisco, California? We are hiring for individuals who can efficiently and accurately fulfill customer orders in our busy distribution center. This position is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. Responsibilities include locating items in the warehouse using pick lists or scanners, gathering the specified quantities, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. A strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety is required. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys an active job and contributes positively to a team environment within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items and quantities from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against customer orders.
- Meet or exceed established picking productivity standards.
- Ensure all picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain organization in picking zones and report any stock discrepancies.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as needed to support the logistics team.
- Communicate any issues or challenges encountered during the picking process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and system-generated reports.
- Proficiency with RF scanning devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
- Adherence to all safety standards and requirements for PPE.
