We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dynamic team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety protocols. This role involves managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating with logistics partners, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory flow. You will be responsible for training new staff, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, stocking, and shipping of goods.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Manage the scheduling and assignment of tasks to meet operational demands.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve productivity.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics departments to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, providing ongoing feedback and development.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse.
- Manage **Lifting** requirements and ensure safe handling of all materials.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment required.
- Proficient in warehouse management software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to **PPE** guidelines.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
