We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas location. This role is essential for managing the inbound flow of inventory into our distribution center. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments, ensuring that goods are received correctly and prepared for warehouse placement. A commitment to Safety and meticulous record-keeping are key to success in this position within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accept, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise from suppliers and carriers.
- Verify quantities and item details against invoices and purchase orders.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies to management.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received products for efficient put-away.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including Lifting up to 45 lbs, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems or WMS is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be able to wear and utilize required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
