*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
* Administer medications and injections safely, including IV infusions, and perform venipuncture and catheter care with aseptic technique.
* Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, tube feeding management, and wound care, including ostomy and dressing changes.
* Provide acute pain management, triage patients to determine urgency levels, and coordinate appropriate interventions in urgent care or emergency room settings.
* Support patients with chronic conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities through tailored care plans, including memory care and behavioral health support.
* Collaborate with physicians and specialists in ophthalmology, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), infectious disease care, and other specialties to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure meticulous medical documentation for legal and billing purposes using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
* Participate in discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote health coaching and long-term wellness strategies.
* Assist in laboratory specimen collection/processing and perform diagnostic evaluations as needed.
* Demonstrate proficiency in infection control practices and adhere to NCQA standards for quality assurance.
*Experience*
* Valid RN license with current state certification.
* Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or Level I Trauma Center exposure.
* Experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care environments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate medical records documentation.
* Prior experience with medical-surgical units, pediatrics, geriatrics (including assisted living and nursing home settings), or home & community care is advantageous.
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is essential.
* Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy knowledge, medication administration protocols, airway management techniques, and aseptic procedures.
* Background working with diverse patient populations including children, older adults in memory or dementia care programs, or individuals with disabilities enhances your candidacy.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
