Our expanding logistics operation in Tampa, Florida, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator. This position is essential for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials, and assist with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety, proficiency in forklift operation, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics are crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by correctly placing and retrieving items.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored in a safe and orderly manner.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator is required.
- Valid forklift certification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent understanding of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours and in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
