We are hiring a Picker/Packer in Durham, North Carolina, to support our growing logistics and fulfillment operations. This role is essential for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders. You will be responsible for locating items within our warehouse, ensuring they are correctly packaged, and prepared for dispatch. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to order requirements.
- Inspect items for quality and ensure correct items are picked.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing is beneficial.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the use of required PPE.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
