Our Sacramento, California distribution center is looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team. As a Picker/Packer, your primary responsibility will be to accurately select items from warehouse inventory and prepare them for shipment to our customers. You will utilize RF scanning technology to locate products, ensure correct quantities are picked, and then meticulously pack items to prevent damage during transit. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics operations. A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. We are committed to providing a safe workplace, and all team members are required to adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves active movement throughout the warehouse and requires the ability to perform tasks involving occasional Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Inspect products for quality and damage.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping boxes or containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain organized and clean work stations.
- Meet established picking and packing performance standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and basic computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a team.
