Become an essential part of our logistics team as an Inventory Clerk in Richmond, Virginia. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals to manage and maintain accurate inventory records within our warehouse. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy. You will work closely with the warehouse team to support efficient operations and contribute to overall inventory control. Understanding of warehouse procedures and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts as scheduled.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper inventory placement.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for easy access and identification.
- Support shipping and receiving departments with inventory-related inquiries.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or WMS.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform some lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and shoes.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
