Our growing logistics company in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is looking for efficient and accurate Order Pickers to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your speed and precision are essential to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction. This hands-on position requires a good understanding of warehouse layouts, the ability to operate a pallet jack or similar equipment (training available), and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will work closely with the packing and shipping departments to ensure a seamless workflow. We highly value safety and require all team members to adhere to our safety policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track picks.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks safely.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Previous picking experience is a plus.
