We are looking for an organized and proactive Shipping Clerk to join our thriving logistics center in Boise, Idaho. In this critical role, you will be the gateway for all outgoing shipments, ensuring that products leave our facility correctly, on time, and in excellent condition. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position requires excellent communication skills, as you will interact with internal teams, external carriers, and potentially customers. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is essential. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is key to success. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all shipments comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory records.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and other departments regarding shipping needs.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier websites.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
