This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, playing a crucial part in our overall logistics efficiency. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and maintain optimal stock levels. Upholding stringent safety standards is essential, and you will be required to use all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the role is primarily analytical, some physical tasks, including lifting and moving inventory, may be required. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
