We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels and documentation, and staging packages for pickup. A meticulous approach and strong organizational skills are essential for success. You will play a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. Maintaining an organized shipping area and adhering to all safety protocols are key aspects of this position. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety. While this role is primarily administrative, some physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages, may be required. Responsibilities:
- Verify outgoing shipment contents against order details and packing slips.
- Prepare accurate shipping labels and necessary documentation for various carriers.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Operate shipping software and manifest systems.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging before dispatch.
- Stage outgoing shipments in the designated areas.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with carriers and internal staff.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including lifting packages up to 30 lbs.
